Ingredients

  • 100 g - French beans, chopped
  • 100 g - carrots, chopped
  • 100 g - potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 100 g - lotus stems, chopped
  • 100 g - white radish, scraped and chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • 200 g - cashewnuts
  • 50 g - red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - Ginger-garlic paste
  • 8 tsp - cumin seeds
  • fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1 - onion (big), sliced

How to Make Sabzi Handi

  • Boil the vegetables separately.
  • Grind the cashewnuts to a paste.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and saute the cumin seeds, add sliced onion.
  • Fry it a little, when it turns red, add ginger-garlic past and fry again for few minutes.
  • Add chilli powder and cook.
  • Add the cashewnut paste and stir.
  • Add the vegetables, salt, garam masala and cook for a few minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
