  • 1 cup - Ricotta cheese (full fat)
  • 1/2 cup - Rolled oats
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 1 cup - Milk powder (low fat)
  • 2 pinches - Saffron
  • 1/4 cup - Pistachio pieces
  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp - Butter

How to Make Saffron Oats Peda

  • Take a microwave bowl and add ricotta cheese, sugar, milk powder, saffron and butter. Stir continuously until the cheese gets well mixed. This looks like a creamy paste.
  • Microwave at high temperature for 5 minutes.
  • In another microwave bowl, add a tsp of butter and rolled oats and cook for 5 minutes at high temperature.
  • Add cooked oats to the cheese mixture and cook again at high temperature for 15 minutes in microwave oven.
  • Keep an eye on it while doing this. When you see the milk mixture turning slightly brownish at the edges, transfer to a flat plate and keep aside to let it cool.
