Ingredients

  • 2 bunch - saga (green leaves)
  • 1 - small brinjal, chopped in small pieces
  • a small portion - pumpkin chopped in small pieces
  • 50 g - moong dal
  • onions, finely chopped
  • 5/6 cloves - garlic
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - cumin
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 2 - green chillies
  • salt to taste

How to Make Saga

  • Boil water, add dal and salt. Once dal is boiled, add all the chopped vegetables.
  • Wash the leaves properly and cut into small pieces, once vegetables are boiled add leaves to that.
  • When all the vegetables and leaves are cooked properly, remove from fire.
  • Heat oil. Add cumin and mustard seeds. Once the seeds have spluttered, add green chilly, chopped onion and garlic cloves.
  • Keep frying and add vegetable and leaves mix properly.
