Salad Basque is a lovely array of unique ingredients that is often regarded a good appetizer. This salad with simple ingredients is full of healthy ingredients - hard boiled eggs, flaked tuna, cucumber, tomato, wine vinegar, french mustard and dried mixed herbs. 

It is a no-cook recipe, made in a jiffy. The sliced eggs, tuna, cucumber and tomatoes are layered in a salad bowl. The remaining ingredients are whisked to make a yummy dressing and poured over to achieve the perfect summer salad! Serve it chilled for some extra kick.

  • 6 eggs, hard boiled and sliced
  • 200 gms. tuna, drained and flaked
  • 2 cucumbers, finely sliced
  • 8 tomatoes, skinned and sliced
  • 3-4 tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 tbsp. wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. French mustard
  • 2 tbsp. tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp. dried mixed herbs

How to Make Salad Basque

  • Layer the sliced eggs, flaked tuna, cucumber and tomatoes in a salad bowl.
  • Whisk the remaining ingredients together to make a dressing and pour over the salad. Serve chilled.
