  • 2 cans salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • ½ tsp. ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp. dried red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp. chopped coriander leaves
  • ½ cup cooked white rice
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1-2 tsp. all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. canola oil
  • ½ cup plain yoghurt
  • ½ cucumber, grated
  • 1 tbsp. chopped mint
  • Salt and black pepper

How to Make Salmon and Rice Bhajis

  • Place the salmon, onion, spices, cilantro, and rice in a large bowl and mix well.
  • Stir in the egg and season well.
  • Mix in enough of the flour to form a stiff mixture.
  • Using wet hands, shape into 20 small balls.
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet, add the bhajis, and cook for 3-4 minutes, turning once, until golden.
  • Meanwhile, mix together the yoghurt, cucumber, and mint in a bowl.
  • Serve with the bhajis.
