Ingredients

  • 500 gm white fish of your choice
  • 100 gm tomatoes
  • 100 gm onions, finely diced
  • 50 gm capsicum
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 dried lemon
  • 200 ml olive oil
  • 1 tbsp masala powder

How to Make Samak Matfi

  • Grind the garlic and mix with the chopped onions
  • Chop the tomatoes and peppers into small pieces
  • Saute the onions, garlic and peppers together
  • Add tomatoes and the juice of the dried lemon
  • Cut the fish into pieces and roll in the masala powder. Saute for a few minutes
  • Add the fish to the sauce and simmer on low until fish is cooked
  • Serve hot
