Ingredients

  • 50 g - channa dal
  • 1/2 tsp - garam masala
  • 250 g - mince meat
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • 1.5 piece ginger
  • 3-4 green chillies
  • 1 tbsp - coriander leaves
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Cuminutes powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ghee or oil for frying

How to Make Shammi Kebabs

  • Soak dal in water for 1-2 hours. Boil with mince meat in a little water till cooked and dry.
  • Grind meat mixture to a fine paste.
  • Separately grind to a paste garlic, ginger, chillies, coriander and onion.
  • Mix in meat mixture with ground paste, powdered, spices, salt and egg. Shape into 8 flat round balls.
  • Fry in hot oil browned on both sides.
  • Serve with kachumber and chutney.
