Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - toor dal
  • 1 - tomato
  • 2 - drumsticks
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • salt to taste
  • cumin seeds, mustard seeds for tadka
  • 1 pinch - asafoetida
  • Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • Jaggery to taste

How to Make Shevgyachya Shengachi Amti

  • Boil toor dal with tomato in a pressure cooker.
  • Chop drumstick into 1.5 inch long pieces.
  • Heat oil in a big vessel, add cumin seeds, mustard, asafoetida, curry leaves, turmeric, chilli powders and chopped drumstick and fry.
  • To this, add the cooked dal and water, salt and jaggery to taste.
  • Garnish with coriander and serve with rice.
