Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 - cinnamon, cardamoms and cloves
  • 1 - big onion
  • 2 to 3 - cloves of garlic (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp - ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup - crushed tomato
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup - thick coconut milk
  • 25 to 30 - shrimp
  • Chopped coriander
  • salt, chilli powder, turmeric and garam masala powder, according to taste

How to Make Shrimp with coconut milk

  • First saute cinnamon, cardamoms and cloves in oil. Then add chopped onions and garlic.
  • Saute till onions are light brown in colour, then add ginger garlic paste and saute.
  • Then add the shrimp, tomato, salt, turmeric (just a pinch), chilli powder (1 tbsp) and garam masala powder (1 tbsp)
  • Saute for a few minutes, till tomatoes are fried a bit.
  • Then add water, let it cook for 5 minutes and then add coconut milk.
  • Let it cook till the shrimp is tender.
  • Add little bit of coriander in the final stages of cooking and then serve hot with rice.
