  • Ginger - 50 g (or Ginger paste)
  • Tamarind Paste - 1 tbsp
  • Jaggery - 1 tbsp
  • Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Simple Ginger Chutney

  • Scrape the skin of fresh ginger.
  • Cut it into big pieces.
  • Fry the pieces in oil and grind them without water.
  • Fry the paste in oil along with tamarind paste.
  • Add salt, chilli powder and boil for sometime.
  • Finally add jaggery.
  • When the chutney reaches jam-like consistency, remove from flame.
  • Cool and serve.
