Ingredients

  • 1/4 kg - green tomatoes
  • 100g - roasted sesame seeds
  • 4 green chillies
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp - jeera
  • A large peanut-sized ripe tamarind (soaked)
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • Salt according to taste

How to Make Simple Green Tomato chutney

  • In a kadhai, add oil, roast the green chillies, jeera and garlic cloves, keep aside.
  • In the same oil, add tomatoes cut into 4 pieces and cook till tender.
  • Then when the tomatoes are cooled, grind them in a mixer adding all the ingredients.
  • Serve with hot plain rice.
