Ingredients

  • 500 g - paneer
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - chopped coriander leaves
  • oil
  • 2 - large onions (chopped)
  • 2 - tomatoes (chopped) Grind to a paste:
  • 1 tsp - coriander seeds
  • 8 - peppercorns
  • 3 - red kashmiri chillies
  • 1 1" piece - ginger
  • 1/4 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - poppy seeds

How to Make Simple Masala Paneer

  • Cut the paneer into 2 inch cubes and deep fry. Keep aside.
  • Heat some oil in a pan and fry the onions till dark brown then add the ground masala paste and fry for a few minutes.
  • Add the tomatoes. Add 2 cups of water and simmer for 15 mins.
  • Add the fried paneer and simmer for a few minutes more.
  • Sprinkle with coriander leaves before serving.
