Ingredients

  • White pumpkin - 1/4
  • Tur dal - 4 tbsp
  • Channa dal - 2 tbsp
  • Urad dal - 2 tbsp
  • Methi seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • Hing
  • Green Chilli - 5-6
  • Coconut (grated) - 1 cup
  • Coriander - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Curd - 2 cups

How to Make Simple Mor Kuzhambu

  • Cook the pumpkin with salt and turmeric powder.
  • Soak the tur and channa dal for 2 hours.
  • In 1 tsp of oil, fry the urad dal, methi seeds, hing and chillies.
  • Add the soaked dal and remove from the flame. When it cools down, add coconut, jeera, turmeric, coriander and grind to a fine paste.
  • Add the curd and beat once so that it mixes with the masala.
  • Season mustard seeds and curry leaves in 1 tsp of coconut oil and add.
  • Serve hot with rice.
