Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread
  • 125 g - butter
  • 1 clove - garlic
  • 1/2 tsp - french mustard
  • 1 tbsp - chopped parsley
  • 2 tsp - capers
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices smoked salmon

How to Make Smoked Salmon and Mozarella Rounds

  • Cut 5 cm (2-inch) circles from bread.
  • Melt half the butter in pan; brush both sides of circles with butter and place on oven tray.
  • Bake with moderate heat in oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown; remove and serve cool.
  • Place remaining soft butter in bowl, add crushed garlic, mustard, parsley and chopped capers; mix well.
  • Spread butter over one side of each circle.
  • Cut 2.5 cm (1-inch) circles of smoked salmon and place on buttered side of circle.
  • Cut 2.5 cm (1-inch) circles of cheese and place on top of smoked salmon.
  • Arrange circles on baking tray; bake at moderate heat in oven for 10 minutes or until cheese melts.
