DRY FRUIT MODAK

½ cup Coconut grated, fresh or desiccated
¼ cup Jaggery (Gur)
¼ teaspoon Green cardamom seeds powder
For the outer cover: ½ cup Sooji (semolina)
½ cup water
½ cup milk
½ teaspoon pure ghee
⅛ teaspoon salt
How to Make SOOJI MODAK
To make the stuffing -Mix coconut and jaggery in a pan. Turn the heat on medium.
Keep stirring and cooking.
Add cardamom powder and cook till the mixture becomes dry. It took me altogether 6-7 minutes.
Turn off the stove and keep it aside to cool.
Grease the modak mould well with ghee. Take a lemon sized dough and roll into a ball. Close the mould and take a dough shape it as a ball and stuff it from the bottom side.
Open the mould and carefully remove it. Likewise shape all the modaks with the stuffing. Steam cook for 10mins or until it comes out clean.
Switch off and remove the modaks and transfer to a serving bowl.
