Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - Fine semolina
  • 2 tbsp - rice flour
  • 1 tbsp - Maida
  • 1 tsp - Finely chopped green chillies
  • 2 tsp - Chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp - Cooking oil
  • salt to taste
  • Water, as required

How to Make Sooji Paniyaram

  • Mix all three core ingredients - semolina, rice flour and maida in a big bowl.
  • Add rest of the ingredients and make a thick batter by adding water gradually.
  • Heat paniyaram pan and drizzle some oil in each case.
  • Put a tablespoonful of batter in each case.
  • Cover it with a lid and cook it for nearly 7-8 minutes.
  • Use a wooden stick to turn them over.
  • Cook covered again for 4-5 minutes.
  • Serve hot with tomato-onion chutney.
