Ingredients

  • Coriander leaves - 1 small bunch
  • Chicken - 1/4 kg
  • Onion - 2
  • Tomatoes - 1
  • Green chillies - 3
  • Ginger - 2 small pieces
  • Garlic - 7 pods
  • Cinnamon - 1 stick
  • Cloves - 2
  • Poppy seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
  • Cashew - 1tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Seasoning:
  • Oil
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Cardamom - 2 pods

How to Make Special Green Chicken

  • Grind all the above ingredients except turmeric powder and chicken. Set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pressure pan. Add the turmeric powder and fry for a few seconds. Add the ground paste and chicken with 1/4 cup water.
  • Pressure cook up to 3 whistles.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard.
  • Add curry leaves and cardamom. Fry for a minute.
  • Add the seasoning to the cooked chicken.
  • Serve hot with rice.
