Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - chicken
  • 8 tbsp - curd
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp - paprika
  • 1 pod - garlic
  • 4 ginger
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 2 - onions (grind to paste)
  • 5 tbsp - butter
  • 5 tbsp - tomato paste
  • 4 - green chilli (finely chopped)
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - garam masala powder
  • Salt
  • chopped coriander
  • fried cashew (kaju)

How to Make Spicy Butter Chicken

  • Grind the curd, garlic and ginger into a smooth paste.
  • Marinate chicken in this paste for 30 mins. Add the salt and paprika too.
  • Now cook the chicken in the same curd mixture till tender. Keep aside.
  • In a pan add oil, fry the onions till the oil leaves the sides.
  • Add butter, tomato puree, and chopped chilli and cook.
  • Add the cooked chicken, chilli powder, garam masala powder, and salt (if required), and cook for about 10 mins.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander and cashew.
  • Serve hot.
