Ingredients

  • 1 large chicken
  • 1 large onion
  • 5 cm piece ginger
  • 1 pod garlic
  • 2 tsp. coriander powder
  • ½ tsp. chilli powder
  • 6 cloves
  • 2.5 cm piece cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp. fennel (saunf)
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 large tomato
  • 2 tbsp. curds
  • Lime juice and salt to taste
  • 100 ml. oil

How to Make Spicy Chicken Saute

  • Clean and joint chicken. Slice onion.
  • In a liquidizer or blender, grind cleaned and sliced ginger, garlic, green chillies, coriander powder, chilli powder, cloves, cardamom.
  • Add ground spices and sauté well.
  • Add chicken and salt. Saute for another 15 minutes.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and beaten curds.
  • Cover and cook gently till chicken is done.
  • Add lime juice and remove.
