Ingredients

  • 2 cups - cooked chole
  • 1 cup - chopped onion
  • 4 or 5 - green chillies
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp - red chilli powder (add more if you want)
  • 1 pinch - turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup - thick coconut milk
  • Water (even water from the cooked chole will do)
  • Mustard seeds, curry leaves and oil for seasoning

How to Make Spicy chole in coconut milk

  • Heat oil, add the mustard seeds. When it splutters, saute the chopped onions and green chillies till it's transparent.
  • Add chole and mix it well with the masala.
  • Add enough salt, water and coconut milk and bring it to a boil.
  • Season it with curry leaves. This goes well with idli and dosa.
