Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - mutton
  • 200 gms - potatoes
  • 1 stick - cinnamon
  • 4 - cloves
  • 8 - pepper corns
  • 3 - chillies
  • 1/2 inch - turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 - onion
  • 1 inch - ginger
  • 1 lemon-sized ball -tamarind
  • A few - mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp - ghee
  • 1 - onion
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Spicy Mutton Stew

  • Cut the mutton into small pieces.
  • Cook meat in 3 cups of water and salt for about an hour till it becomes tender.
  • Add cooked potatoes.
  • Grind masala, and keep aside.
  • Prepare seasoning in 2 tbsp of ghee.
  • When the ghee is hot, fry half an onion sliced, and then fry the masala.
  • When the raw smell goes, add the cooked meat and simmer for 15 mins. Serve hot.
