  • 2 cups - shrimp
  • 2 cups - basmati rice
  • 1 - large onion
  • 1 tbsp - butter or oil
  • 1 tbsp - ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp - garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 1 tsp - Cuminutes powder
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • salt
  • coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp - oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp - soya sauce

How to Make Spicy Shrimp rice

  • In a bowl, mix the cleaned shrimp, ginger paste, red chilli powder, Cuminutes powder, garam masala, and the turmeric powder. Set it aside for some time.
  • In a large vessel melt butter.
  • Fry onions till slightly golden brown, then add garlic paste and fry for some time.
  • Add oyster sauce, soya sauce, the marinated shrimp and salt to taste.
  • Cook the shrimp till it is half done.
  • If necessary, add some water.
  • Clean the rice, add to shrimp with enough water to cook the rice and coriander. Cook till the rice is done.
