Ingredients

  • 1 cup - firm tofu grated or tofu crumbles
  • 1 cup - chopped onions
  • 1 cup - chopped red cabbage, peas, cauliflower or carrots
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1/2tsp - fennel seeds
  • 1 -2 tsp - curry powder or any curry paste or garam masala powder or hot pepper powder
  • 2 tsp - tomato paste
  • 1 cup - chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup - chopped cilantro (coriander leaves)
  • 2 tsp - sour cream
  • 1/2 cup - water

How to Make Spicy Tofu

  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan.
  • Add 1/2 tsp of fennel seeds.
  • Add onions, saute until tender.
  • Add cabbage and tomatoes and stir.
  • Add tofu and mix well.
  • Add salt, curry powder, any curry paste or garam masala powder.
  • Add tomato paste. Mix.
  • Cover and cook till done .
  • Add cilantro at the end. One can eat this with cooked white rice, naan, chapatti or as sandwich.
