Ingredients

  • 8 - trotters (mutton or lamb) preferably the front ones
  • 1 tsp - ginger garlic paste
  • 2 pieces - cinnamon (about 1/2 inch each)
  • 3 - cloves
  • 2 - large tomatoes chopped
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 large onions chopped
  • 1tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Cumins powder
  • 2 tbsp - vinegar
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp - coriander leaves chopped.

How to Make Spicy Trotters Curry

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, lightly saute the onions, cinnamon and cloves.
  • Add the trotters, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, tomato, coriander powder, cumin powder, vinegar and salt and mix well.
  • Add sufficient water and pressure cook, first on high heat, then on low heat for half an hour or till the trotters are well cooked.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with rice, bread, dosas or hoppers.
