  • 2 cups -lentil dal
  • 1 handful -green spinach leaves
  • 4 - 5 -red chillies
  • 1 tsp -salt
  • 1- ginger small piece
  • 4 -5 -mint leaves
  • 1 pinch -asafoetida
  • oil

How to Make Spinach Lentil Vada

  • Soak lentil dal for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Chop the spinach leaves into small pieces.
  • Grind the lentil dal coarsely adding red chilli, salt, ginger and asafoetida.
  • Add the spinach leaves to the batter.
  • Heat some oil in the kadai.
  • Flatten the prepared batter in a plastic sheet.
  • Deep fry the vadas till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
