Ingredients

  • 1 bunch - spinach
  • 1/2 - large onion
  • 2 - large garlic buds finely cut
  • 1/2 tbsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp - vinegar
  • 2 - green chillies
  • 1 cup - milk
  • 1/4 tbsp - crushed pepper
  • 1/4 tbsp - ginger
  • salt to taste
  • olive oil

How to Make Spinach Soup

  • Boil spinach fully covered in water on medium flame for 10 to 12 mins. Add a little salt while boiling.
  • Simultaneously, in a pan, fry onions in 2 tbsps of oil till it turns light brown.
  • Add cumin seeds, garlic, ginger and chillies and fry for about 5 mins.
  • Add vinegar to the above.
  • Drain the spinach and blend it with the above mixture into a smooth pulp in a mixie.
  • Heat the pulp, add milk, pepper and bring it to boil.
  • Serve hot.
