  • 1 cup - split peas
  • 1 - onion, small
  • 4 - spring onion
  • 1.5 tsp - garam masala
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 - green chillies
  • salt
  • oil to fry

How to Make Split Pea Vadas

  • Soak peas for 3-4 hours. Grind peas and onion into a very coarse paste with less water.
  • To this, add finely chopped spring onion, garam masala, cut chillies, ginger-garlic paste and salt. Reduce the chilli powder if necessary.
  • The above mixture should be rolled into small balls and flattened with the palm. You should make a hole in the centre.
  • Fry it in hot oil and enjoy it as a snack or as an accompaniment for a meal.
