  • 250 g - any sprouts (moong dal/broccoli/alfalfa/channa)
  • 1/2 loaf - bread
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 2 - green chillies
  • 1 - onion, small
  • oil for frying
  • water

How to Make Sprout Cutlets

  • Gently separate the sprouts with your fingertips in a container.
  • Now, cut the green chillies, onion and mix these well with sprouts (chillies/chillies powder/onion/salt).
  • Cut the sides of bread and keep aside.
  • Heat oil for frying in a kadai.
  • Dip bread in a bowl of water for a second. Take out and fill a little mixture of sprouts and roll (not like a ball but a little elongated).
  • Now, fry these but not in very hot oil. Take out when light brown.
  • Serve hot with chutney/sauce.
