Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Sprouted Lentils
  • 1 - Onion chopped
  • 1 - Tomato chopped
  • 1 tsp - Fennel seed
  • 1/4 cup - Grated coconut
  • 2 - Cloves
  • 1 - Cinnamon sticks
  • 2 - Bay leaves
  • 1 tsp - Chilli powder
  • 3 tsp- Coriander powder
  • 5 - Curry leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil

How to Make Sprouted Lentils Gravy

  • Grind the coconut and fennel seed with a little water.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Add the bay leaves, cinnamon sticks and cloves.
  • Fry them until brown.
  • Add the chopped onion, chopped tomatoes and curry leaves.
  • Once the onion turns translucent, add the sprouted lentils, chilli powder, coriander powder and salt.
  • Fry them for few minutes until the raw smell of the powder disappears.
  • Now, add the coconut-fennel seed paste. Add enough water.
  • Let them cook for a while and until the sprouts get well cooked.
  • Serve hot with rice, chapattis and parathas.
