Ingredients

  • 2 cup - Cooked basmati rice
  • 1/2 cup - Sprouted moong dal (sprouting will take about 3 days)
  • 1 - Carrot
  • 1 no - Green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup - Cabbage (shredded)
  • 3 - Spring onions
  • 1 tsp - Green chilli sauce
  • 2 tsp - Soya sauce (light)
  • 1/2 tsp - Black pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Sugar
  • 1 pinch - Mug (ajinomoto)
  • 3 tsp - Oil
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 pinch - White pepper powder (optional)

How to Make Sprouted Moong dal Fried Rice

  • Cut the onions, carrots and green bell peppers lengthwise and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, when hot, add the onion and fry until it turns slightly transparent.
  • Add the carrots and stir it together (carrots should be half cooked).
  • Add the sprouted moong dal and shredded cabbage fry them together for a few minutes.
  • When this is slightly cooked, add the bell peppers and toss it twice.
  • Add chilly sauce, soya sauce, pepper powder, sugar and salt. Stir it for 5 minutes and switch off the stove.
  • Add the cooked rice and toss until everything get well mixed. Cut the spring onions into small pieces and add them to the fried rice.
  • Sprinkle white pepper powder.
  • Serve hot.
