Ingredients

  • 3 cups - Sprouted yellow peas
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Urad dal
  • 2 - Dry red chillies
  • 1/4 tsp - Asafoetida powder
  • 2 tbsp - Grated coconut
  • 3 - Curry leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil

How to Make Sprouted Yellow Peas Sundal

  • Cook the sprouted yellow peas with salt in a kadai or pressure cook up to one whistle.
  • Drain the excess water and keep aside.
  • Heat a tablespoon of oil and add the mustard seeds, urad dal, dry red chillies, asafoetida powder and curry leaves.
  • Let it turn brown.
  • Add the cooked sprouted yellow peas to the pan and saute for a few minutes.
  • Add the grated coconut stir for a minute and switch off the stove.
  • Serve warm as snacks.
