  • 1/2 Kg- prawns
  • 0.25 oz garlic
  • 0.25 tsp turmeric
  • few sprigs curry leaves
  • 1.75 tsp of salt
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 2 cloves
  • 125 gms- Onions
  • 2 dessert spoons green chillies, ground coarsely
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1ts-p lime juice
  • 2 dessert spoon- oil
  • 2 cardamoms

How to Make Sri Lankan Spicy Prawns

  • Wash and de-vein the prawns well. Slice onions evenly, chop garlic fine, cut bay leaves into pieces. Heat the oil and when very hot, add curry leaves and bay leaves.
  • Add the onions. Toss till onions turn light brown.
  • Add rest of the ingredients till prawns are well cooked and hard.
  • Serve hot. This can be kept for a few days too, but warm the dish up before serving to enjoy its spicy flavour.
