  • 2 large juicy star fruits
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 1 cup - water

How to Make Star fruit Preserve in Sugar Syrup

  • Slice star fruit into thick horizontal slices.
  • Add half sugar to the water.
  • Put to boil, adding fruit.
  • Cook till fruit is tender.
  • Drain fruit, and save the drained liquid.
  • Add remaining sugar to liquid.
  • Put back to boil to 1 thread consistency.
  • Add lemon juice and fruit back to syrup.
  • Boil further for 2-3 minutes.
  • Take off fire, cool, bottle in sterile jar.
  • Seal with non-metallic airtight lid.
