Ingredients

  • 500 g - fresh water fish, cut into thin slices
  • banana leaves
  • 25 g - mustard seeds
  • 6 - green chillies
  • 1/4 - coconut
  • salt and chilli powder to taste
  • 1 tbsps - turmeric powder

How to Make Steamed Mustard Fish with Coconut

  • Grind coconut, mustard and chillies to a paste.
  • Mix with all the spices and oil and rub on the fish slices nicely.
  • Wrap each slice of fish nicely in banana leaf and steam for 10 mins on one side, then turn over and steam for another 10 mins.
