  • 1 - beetroot, grated
  • 1.5 cups - spinach stems, chopped to 1 inch size
  • Handful -moong dal soaked for 1 hr
  • 2 - green chillies
  • 1 sprig - curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp - mustard
  • 1/4 tsp - cumin
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Stir fried spinach stalks with beetroot

  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, cumin, curry leaves and chillies, allow them to crackle.
  • Add dal, salt and turmeric, close the lid and cook for 2 to 3 mins.
  • Add the spinach stems and fry till the stems become tender.
  • Add beetroot and fry till cooked.
