Ingredients

  • 6 - equal sized bitter gourds
  • 1 tsp - tamarind paste
  • 2 tbsp - besan
  • 1 tsp - jeera
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • A pinch of turmeric
  • oil to fry

How to Make Stuffed Bitter Gourd

  • Slit the bitter gourds and scoop out the seeds.
  • Heat water in a vessel, add the bitter gourds, salt, tamarind paste, turmeric and boil till gourds are tender.
  • Strain the water and cool the gourds.
  • Meanwhile mix besan, salt, jeera and chilli powder.
  • Stuff the mix in the bitter gourds and fry in oil.
  • Serve hot with rice.
