Ingredients

  • cucumber 2, medium size
  • green chana (chick peas) - 1 cup, cooked
  • fresh curds - 1 cup
  • roasted sesame seeds - 3 tbsp
  • tomato - ½ cup, chopped
  • garlic 2 flakes, minced
  • green chili - 1 tsp, minced
  • ginger paste - ½ tsp
  • green chili paste - ½ tsp
  • oil - 1 tbsp
  • mustard - 1 tsp
  • curry leaves - 1 tsp, shredded
  • lime juice to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • salt to taste

How to Make Stuffed Cucumber Salad

  • Peel the cucumber and slit into halves.
  • Scoop out the core and seeds.
  • Cut the halves into 6 cm thick slices.
  • Mash the cooked chick peas lightly and combine with sesame seeds, garlic, green chili, salt, pepper and lime juice.
  • Stuff cucumber pieces with this mixture and arrange on a serving plate.
  • Sprinkle some tomato pieces on each piece.
  • Beat curd with ginger and green chili.
  • Heat oil; add mustard and curry leaves and pour in the curd.
  • Just before serving, pour the curd on cucumber pieces.
