  • 2 - medium-sized pomfret
  • 2 tbsp - coconut oil
  • Ingredients for stuffing:
  • 6 tsp - Kashmir chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1.5 tsp - coriander seeds
  • 3 - cloves
  • 10 - black pepper corns
  • 3/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 9 cloves of garlic, peeled
  • 1 inch - slice of fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 inch piece of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp - tamarind paste
  • 3/4 tsp - sugar
  • 1/3 cup - white wine vinegar
  • 3 tbsp - shredded coconut
  • Salt, to taste

How to Make Stuffed Pomfret fry

  • Make slits on the fish with a knife.
  • Prepare the filling masala by mixing all the ingredients listed.
  • Fill this inside every slit in the fish.
  • Deep Fried the fish in hot oil, on medium fire till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with rice and dal.
