Ingredients

  • Raw Banana Podimas:
  • 2 cups - Raw banana chunks (cooked & smashed)
  • 1 - Onion (chopped finely)
  • 1 tsp - Ginger (chopped finely)
  • 2 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard seeds and urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp - Channa dal
  • 1 - Dry red chilli
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil

How to Make Stuffed Raw Banana Podimas Bread Toast

  • Heat enough oil and splutter mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal and dry red chillies.
  • Add chopped onions, chopped green chillies, chopped ginger and saute everything well until the onions turns translucent.
  • Add turmeric powder, smashed raw banana pieces, salt and curry leaves, sprinkle some water and simmer for few minutes, until the vegetables are well cooked.
  • Spread the raw banana podimas over a slice of bread, cover with another.
  • Meanwhile make a thick paste with all-purpose flour and water.
  • Brush this thick paste over the podimas stuffed bread slices, sprinkle rolled oats.
  • Press to get a good coating of the oats.
  • Toast on both sides.
