Ingredients

  • 500 g - fish fillets
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - garam masala
  • 1 tbsp - ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - lemon juice
  • red chilli powder, as per taste
  • salt
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • coriander leaves
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped

How to Make Sukhi macchi

  • Clean the fish fillets and apply a bit of turmeric and salt. By doing so the fish odour can be eliminated to an extent.
  • In a wok, heat oil, add onions and fry until golden brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt and red chilly paste and cook until a thick gravy is formed (add water if required)
  • Lastly, add fish and toss it, .
  • Try not to use a spoon as the fish is delicate.
  • Try to toss the wok itself.
  • Cover with a lid and cook until done.
  • Serve with steamed rice.
