  • Aval - 1 cup
  • Jaggery - 3/4 cup
  • Coconut (cut into small pieces) - 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee - 2 tsp
  • Water as required

How to Make Sweet Aval

  • Heat water, put the jaggery in it and boil for 5-10 minutes.
  • Filter the jaggery liquid.
  • In a bowl, put the aval and pour the jaggery liquid till the level of aval.
  • Let it soak for 5-10 minutes.
  • Fry the coconut pieces in ghee.
  • Add fried coconut pieces, ardamom powder to the soaked aval and mix gently.
