  • 1/2 cup - sweet corn
  • 2 cups - cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup - green beans, chopped
  • 1/4 cup - soya chunks
  • 1 - large onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp - garam masala powder
  • 2 - green chillies, slit lengthwise
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp - soya sauce
  • 2 tbsp - coriander leaves, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - as required
  • 3 - bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds

How to Make Sweet Corn, Beans and Soya Chunks Rice

  • Cook the soya chunks in salted hot water until they double in volume, drain, squeeze out the excess water, and keep aside.
  • Heat enough oil and fry the bay leaves and cumin seeds.
  • Immediately add the chopped onions and saute until they turn translucent.
  • Add the chopped beans, sweet corn and soya chunks to the onions, and saute for a few minutes.
  • Now add the garam masala powder, pepper powder, green chillies and soya sauce.
  • Cook on a high flame until the vegetables are half cooked.
  • Add the cooked rice and chopped coriander leaves.
  • Toss gently until the vegetables and rice are well mixed.
  • Serve hot with papads and boiled eggs.
