  • 2 cups - Rice flour
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • Salt
  • Water - as required
  • 1 cup - Grated coconut
  • 1 tsp - Ghee

How to Make Sweet Rice Flour Puttu

  • Roast the rice flour in a pan for few minutes.
  • Add salt. Sprinkle water a little at a time to the flour and keep mixing till you reach a damp consistency where you will be able to form balls with the flour as well as crumble it back easily.
  • Steam cook this flour for 20 minutes in a pressure cooker.
  • Take the flour and transfer to a big plate, smash lumps, add the sugar, cardamom powder, ghee, and grated coconut and mix everything well using a wooden spatula.
  • Serve immediately.
