  • Medium sized yam - 1
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 2.5 tsp
  • Dhania powder - 1 to 2 tsp
  • Haldi powder - 1/4 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Juice of 1/2 a lime
  • Tandoori colour - a pinch
  • Oil to fry

How to Make Tandoori Yam Recipe

  • Peel the yam and rinse in water.
  • Cut into medium sized square pieces and boil till tender but not mushy.
  • Mix the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and apply to the yam pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the yam.
  • Serve on a bed of lettuce. Garnish with onion rings and lemon wedges, with a sprinkle of chaat masala.
