Ingredients

  • 1 large - brinjal
  • 4 - green chillies
  • small lime size - tamarind
  • pinch of hing
  • salt to taste
  • one small bunch - coriander leaves
  • For tempering:
  • 3 tsp - oil
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 2 or 3 - red chilli (optional)
  • pinch of asafoetida (optional)

How to Make Tasty brinjal chutney

  • Cut brinjal into small pieces and cook in very little water.
  • Cool and grind with tamarind, coriander leaves, green chillies, hing and salt to a smooth paste.
  • Temper with mustard, red chillies and asafoetida in oil.
