Ingredients

  • 30 gms. split Bengal gram (about 2 tbsp.)
  • 3 red chillies
  • 1 ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. asafoetida
  • ½ tsp. cumin
  • 2 tsp. oil
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 tsp. mustard seeds
  • ½ cup curds
  • ½ tsp pepper

How to Make Tasty Chana Dal Chutney

  • Heat oil in a frying pan. Separately fry the gram, red chillies and cumin.
  • Grind together with salt, asafoetida and pepper. Mix curds. Heat remaining oil.
  • Fry mustard seeds, chopped green chilli and curry leaves. Pour into curd mixture. Mix well.
