Ingredients

  • 1 - chicken, about 1 kg
  • 400 g - beaten curd
  • 2 - medium sized finely sliced onion
  • 1 tbsp - ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp - garlic paste
  • 2 tsp - Kashmir chilli powder
  • 1.5 tbsp - coriander powder
  • Kewara essence - 1/4 tsp
  • Freshly ground garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil or ghee
  • For whole garam masala:
  • 4 - black cardamom
  • 6 - small cardamom
  • 10 - black pepper
  • 7 - cloves
  • 3 inch - cinnamon stick
  • Small piece - nut meg
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds

How to Make Tasty Chicken Korma

  • Heat oil or ghee for about 100 to 150 ml in heavy bottom deep handy or pan.
  • Add sliced onion and cook till they become crispy.
  • Remove from fire and place on paper to absorb excess oil
  • Then again place pan on fire. If oil is less you can add more.
  • Add washed chicken, ginger garlic paste, salt, chilli powder, coriander powder and whole garam masala. Mix and cover for a while.
  • Cook till chicken is tender then add beaten curd and mix. Cook for more 6 to 8 min.
  • Take off from flame and add freshly ground garam masala about 2 tsp and few drops of kevera essence. Seal and leave for 1-2 hours till you get the aroma.
  • Serve with naan or paratha.
