The savoury mix of roasted groundnut, coconut, chillies, jaggery, sesame seeds and tamarind imparts a flavourful twist to the dish. It is a quick chutney recipe for rushed hours.

Ingredients

  • 125 gms. groundnuts
  • 15 gms. dry coconut
  • 2 tsp. white sesame seeds
  • 5 gms. tamarind
  • ½ tsp. cumin
  • ½ tsp. mustard seeds
  • ½ tsp. asafoetida
  • 7 green chillies
  • A small piece of jaggery
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as required

How to Make Tasty Groundnut Chutney

  • Roast groundnuts and remove skin. Roast sesame seeds.
  • Hold dry coconut over fire with a pair of tongs for a few minutes.
  • Grind together groundnut, coconut, chillies, jaggery, sesame seeds, tamarind and salt.
  • Heat oil, add asafoetida, cumin and mustard seeds, tamarind and salt over prepared chutney paste and mix well.
