  • 8-10 - potatoes (medium size)
  • 5-6 tsp - Kasuri methi
  • 2-3 - green chillies
  • 1 tsp - kooti lal mirch (coarse grinded red chilly)
  • 2 tsp -mustard oil
  • 2 tsp -lemon juice
  • 1 tsp - jeera
  • salt to taste

How to Make Teekha Aloo

  • Chop the potatoes.
  • In a kadai, heat mustard oil.
  • Add jeera, halved green chillies, the chopped potatoes and stir.
  • Add salt and stir for 3-4 mins.
  • Add kasuri methi, cover the lid and cook on medium flame.
  • After 8-10 mins remove the lid and stir.
  • When the potatoes are tender, add kooti lal mirch, and the lemon juice.
  • Serve hot with rotis or paratha.
