Ingredients

  • 3 - potatoes
  • 1 - onion chopped
  • 1 - garlic clove, crushed
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 4 tsp - curry leaves
  • 2 tsp - coconut powder mixed with 1 cup - hot water
  • Spices:
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric
  • 1/2 - green chilli
  • 1 tsp - curry powder
  • 2 tsp - cinnamon

How to Make Tempered Potatoes Lankan Style

  • Peel, slice the potatoes into thick chips and boil until just tender.
  • Drain and set aside.
  • Fry onion, garlic, all the spices and curry leaves until brown.
  • Add the coconut milk and bring to the boil for 2 minutes.
  • Add the potatoes and cook for 2 minutes and serve.
